Terms&Conditions
Agreeing to these terms
mayanktomar.com is run by Mayank Tomar, a fullstack web developer based in Madhya Pradesh, India. Using the site means accepting what follows. If some part of it does not suit you, the remedy is simply not to use the site — there is nothing to cancel and no account to close.
What this site is
A personal portfolio: work I have built, articles I have written, and a collection of React components anyone is welcome to take. It sells nothing, takes no payment and hosts no accounts. Everything on it is published as information and as a demonstration of the work, not as professional advice — technical, legal, financial or otherwise — and nothing here creates a client relationship on its own.
Using the UI Collection
The components, blocks and illustrations under /ui are free to use, exactly as those pages say. Copy the source into personal or commercial work, change it, ship it, charge for what you build with it. There is no sign-up, no licence fee and no attribution requirement.
The two things that are not on offer:
- Republishing the collection itself. Taking the set wholesale and passing it off as your own component library, template pack or paid product is not use of the components — it is redistribution of the collection, and that is not permitted.
- Implying endorsement. Using the code does not entitle you to suggest that I built, reviewed or endorsed your project.
The code is provided as-is. It is written for the site’s own demonstrations, not audited for your production environment, and testing it against your accessibility, security and performance requirements before shipping it is your call to make.
Everything else on the site
The writing, case studies, photographs, illustrations, design, layout and the name Mayank Tomar remain mine, and are not covered by the permission above. Quote a passage with a visible credit and a link back, the way anyone quotes anything. Do not republish an article in full, translate or repost it elsewhere, or feed it into a product as though it were yours — for any of that, ask first; the answer is often yes.
Some material shown here was produced for clients or employers and appears with their permission. Their trade marks and brand assets belong to them, and nothing on this site grants you any rights over them.
What you agree not to do
- Break the site, or try to — scraping at a rate that degrades it, probing for vulnerabilities, or hammering the API routes it uses to render its own pages.
- Try to reach any part of the site, its hosting or its data that has not been made public.
- Use the site for anything unlawful, or to infringe anyone’s rights.
- Strip out or obscure a copyright notice, or present the site’s content as coming from somewhere else.
Ordinary crawling and archiving is fine and welcome — the site publishes a robots.txt, a sitemap and an RSS feed precisely so that it can be read by machines as well as people. Please honour them.
Links and third-party content
This site links out constantly — to GitHub repositories, to articles, to client work, to social profiles — and it embeds material from services such as X. None of that is under my control, no link is an endorsement, and what those sites do with your visit is governed by their terms and their privacy policies rather than mine.
No warranty
The site and everything on it is provided “as is” and “as available”, with no warranty of any kind. Content is pulled live from GitHub and other services, so a page can be briefly out of date, incomplete or unavailable. I make no promise that the site will be uninterrupted, that any error will be fixed, or that any information here is accurate at the moment you read it — though every one of those is the intention, and a note pointing out a mistake is genuinely welcome.
Limits on liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, I am not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of this site or of anything taken from it — including lost profit, lost data, or a defect in code you copied from the UI Collection and shipped. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Enquiries are not a contract
Emailing me about a role, a project or a collaboration starts a conversation and nothing more. No engagement exists until it is agreed in writing on its own terms, and those terms — not this page — govern the work. Anything commercially sensitive you send before that is on you to judge; treat a cold email as a cold email.
Privacy
How the site handles your visit — briefly: it sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device — is covered in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Changes to these terms
These terms change when the site does. The date at the top is the last time the substance moved; continuing to use the site after that is acceptance of the current version. There is no mailing list to announce it on, so the date is the honest signal.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Madhya Pradesh, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If you are a consumer somewhere else, this does not take away the protections your own country’s law gives you.
